An iPad is a tablet computer by Apple released in April of 2010 and which has sold 7.5 units in only five months, and has been projected to sell over 19 million units in the 2010 year. The iPad runs the same operating system which iPhone and iPod Touch runs, so if you're familiar with the apps on those Apple products, you'll be familiar with its multitouch display features.
The multitouch option is a step forward in the tablet computers, which have previously used pressure-triggered stylus technology.
Wi-Fi data connection, loading and streaming media, and installing software. Previous tablet computers include iOS and Modbook from Apple, BlackBerry PlayBook, Android and Google Chrome OS from Google, and HP's webOS. Apple's iPad completely re-invigorated the tablet computer market, though, and is on the way to revolutionizing the tablet technology.
